Give a massage,
get a massage.
SwapMassage is a free community where adults across Canada exchange relaxing massage with each other — one good turn deserves another. No fees, no tips, no money ever changes hands.
How it works
A simple swap between neighbours: you give a massage, you receive one back. Four steps and you're swapping.

Featured members
A few of the friendly folks already swapping. Every member is an amateur who loves massage — giving and receiving.
Built on trust
Swapping massage with someone new should feel easy and safe. Here's how we keep it that way.
Free forever
No subscriptions, no credits, no tipping. An exchange is an exchange — an hour of massage for an hour of massage.
Private in-site messaging
All contact starts inside SwapMassage. Your email and phone number stay yours until you choose to share them.
Report & block, everywhere
Every profile and conversation has report and block tools. Break the rules — especially the platonic-only rule — and you're out.
Questions, answered
Is it really free?
Yes — completely. SwapMassage runs on reciprocity, not money. You give a massage and receive one in return. Members are never allowed to charge, tip, or accept payment, and anyone who asks for money should be reported.
Do I need training or experience?
No. Most members are enthusiastic amateurs. Your profile shows your experience level honestly — beginner, experienced amateur, or trained — so partners know what to expect. If you're new, say so; plenty of members are happy to swap with beginners and share tips.
Is it safe?
We work hard to make it so: messaging stays on the site, every profile can be reported or blocked, and our rules require a public first meet and clear consent before any swap. Read the Safety & Rules page before your first exchange — and always trust your instincts. If something feels off, walk away and tell us.
Is this professional massage therapy?
No. Members are amateurs exchanging relaxation massage — this is not massage therapy, and members must not make medical or therapeutic claims. If you have pain, an injury, or a condition that needs treatment, please see a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in your province.
What kinds of massage do members swap?
Swedish, deep tissue, general relaxation, shiatsu, Thai, sports, and reflexology are the most common. Your profile lists the styles you enjoy giving, and you can note pressure preferences and any areas to avoid.

Safety & rules
SwapMassage works because everyone follows the same simple rules. Please read them before your first exchange — they protect you and everyone you swap with.
Platonic only — always
SwapMassage is a wellness community for relaxation massage between adults. That is all it is.
- There is no sensual or erotic category, and there never will be.
- Sexual services, sexual requests, and suggestive messages are strictly forbidden — in profiles, in messages, and in person.
- Anyone who crosses this line is removed and blocked. Report it; we act on every report.
Consent and boundaries come first
- Talk before you touch: agree on styles, pressure, areas to work on, and areas to avoid — before every session.
- "Stop", "softer", or "not there" ends or changes the massage immediately, no questions, no hard feelings.
- Either person can end a session at any time, for any reason.
- Only adults 18 and over may join or take part in an exchange.
Draping and privacy norms
- Proper draping (a sheet or towel) is used at all times — only the area being worked on is uncovered.
- Underwear stays on. No exceptions.
- Give your partner privacy to get on and off the table.
- Clean linens, clean hands, and a tidy space are basic courtesy — for giver and receiver alike.
Meet in a public place first
- Chat on the site first. When you're ready to meet, make the first meeting a coffee in a public place — no massage, just a hello.
- Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Keep messaging on SwapMassage until you genuinely trust the person.
- Trust your instincts. If anything feels off, leave — and let us know.
Never exchange money
- Exchanges are free, always. No fees, no tips, no "gifts", no paid sessions.
- Never pay anyone, and never accept payment — offering or asking breaks the rules and Canadian law around paid services.
- If someone asks for money, stop, and report them from their profile.
Report & block
Every profile and every conversation has Report and Block buttons. Blocking is instant and permanent for you — the person can't see your profile or message you again. Reports go to our moderation team, and rule-breakers are removed from the community.
A note on what this is — and isn't
SwapMassage members are amateurs exchanging relaxation massage with each other. Members are not Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), and nothing on this site is massage therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or rehabilitation. Members must not make medical or therapeutic claims. If you need treatment for pain, injury, or a health condition, please book with a Registered Massage Therapist regulated in your province.
Massage styles guide
A plain-language tour of the therapeutic styles members swap here — where each one comes from and what a session usually feels like. Every description is written by our team, and every style is practised here as relaxed, amateur bodywork: members are not Registered Massage Therapists, and a few approaches named below (like acupuncture) belong to regulated health professions in Canada, so they aren't swap styles on SwapMassage.

About SwapMassage
SwapMassage started with a simple observation: lots of Canadians love giving a good massage, lots of Canadians could use one, and professional sessions cost more than most of us can spend every week. So why not trade?
We're a community of adults — beginners, hobbyists, and a few trained hands — who exchange free relaxation massage with each other. An hour for an hour. No money, no awkwardness, no catch.
Three things keep the community healthy:
- Platonic, always. This is a wellness community. There is no sensual or erotic category, and sexual requests get members removed.
- Consent first. Styles, pressure, boundaries, and draping are agreed before every session, and "stop" always means stop.
- Honest profiles. Members state their real experience level. We're amateurs helping each other relax — for treatment, see a Registered Massage Therapist.
From Victoria, where our community is largest, to Halifax — welcome. Give a massage, get a massage.
Privacy policy
Effective October 23, 2026. SwapMassage ("we", "us") runs a free community where adults in Canada exchange relaxation massage. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who processes it for us, and the rights you have under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We wrote it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect, and why
- Account information: your email address and a password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — we cannot see or recover your actual password). We need this to run your account, sign you in, and verify that you control the email address.
- Profile details you choose to publish: display name, city, massage styles, experience, your "about" text, and an optional photo. These appear on your public profile so other members can find and choose swap partners. You control what you write and whether your profile is public.
- Messages: the messages you send and receive through the site's messaging system. They are stored so the conversation works, and so we can investigate if a member reports a problem.
- Photos: if you upload a profile photo, it is stored and shown to a moderator for approval before it becomes public — photo approval is a safety measure.
- Safety records: reports and blocks you make, and moderation actions taken on accounts. These keep the community safe and are part of how the exchange operates.
- Essential technical data: one session cookie (below) and basic server logs needed to keep the site secure and working.
Who processes your information
We use two service providers, and only for the purposes above:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the member database, and uploaded photos.
- Resend delivers our transactional email — address confirmations, password resets, and new-message alerts (which never include the message text itself).
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to this site in aggregate — how many visitors, which pages, and which sites referred them. It uses no cookies and does not track or identify individual visitors.
Data may be processed outside Canada. Both providers operate global infrastructure, so your personal information may be stored or processed on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. By using SwapMassage, you understand and accept this.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information — not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. We use no advertising trackers; the only analytics is the cookieless aggregate visitor counting described above.
- We never display your email address on your public profile.
- We only read messages when it is needed to investigate a safety report or a technical problem.
Cookies
We use exactly one cookie: an essential session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is required for the site to function, it contains no tracking or advertising data, and it expires after 30 days or when you log out. No other cookies are set.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information, profile, photo, and safety records while your account is active. Messages are retained while the accounts involved in the conversation are active. If you delete your account, contact us and we will delete your account information, subject to keeping limited safety records where needed to protect other members.
Your rights
- Access: you may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: most profile details you can edit yourself at any time; for anything else, ask us.
- Deletion: you may ask us to delete your account and associated personal information.
- Withdrawing consent: you may stop using the service and request deletion at any time.
For any privacy request or question, contact us at privacy@swapmassage.com. We respond to privacy requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Who can use this service
SwapMassage is for adults only — you must be 18 or older to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date at the top and note the change here.
Terms of service
Effective November 1, 2026. SwapMassage ("we", "us") runs a free community where adults in Canada exchange relaxation massage. These terms are the rules for using the site. By creating an account, you agree to them. We wrote them in plain language on purpose.
Who can use SwapMassage
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. You may hold one account only, and the information on it must be accurate. You are responsible for your account, your password, and everything written on your profile or sent from your account.
What SwapMassage is
SwapMassage introduces adults who want to trade relaxation massage. Members are amateurs exchanging massage with each other — not Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs). Nothing on this site is massage therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or rehabilitation, and members must not make medical or therapeutic claims. If you need treatment for pain, injury, or a health condition, book with a Registered Massage Therapist regulated in your province.
Free, always
The service is free. Members must never charge, tip, or accept payment for a swap, and no paid services may be offered or arranged through the site. If the site ever charges for anything in the future, founding members stay free.
Strictly platonic
SwapMassage is for relaxation massage only. No sexual services or requests, ever. Consent, boundaries, and draping norms apply in every exchange, and a "no" is final. Anyone who asks for or offers anything sexual will have their account removed.
Safety, and your own responsibility
Read the Safety & rules page before your first exchange: meet in a public place first, tell someone where you are going, and keep messaging on the site until you genuinely trust the person. Exchanges happen between members, not with us — we are not a party to any swap, and you meet other members at your own risk. We confirm accounts by email only; we do not verify anyone's identity beyond that, so use your own judgement before meeting anyone.
Your content
You own the text and photos you post. By posting them, you give us permission to display them on the site so the community works. Profile photos are reviewed by a moderator before they become public. Do not post photos of other people without their consent, and do not post anything illegal, harassing, or hateful.
Behaviour and moderation
We may warn, hide, suspend, or remove any account that breaks these terms or the safety rules. If you disagree with a moderation decision, contact us and we will review it. If you break the rules, you may lose your account without warning.
What we are not liable for
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we are not liable for member conduct, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from an exchange arranged through the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Leaving
You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date at the top and note the change here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable there.

How to Swap Massages Safely: A First-Meeting Checklist
Trading massages with a new person is a great way to relax without paying for a professional session. It also means spending time with someone you've just met, so a few habits make it comfortable for both of you.
1. Start by chatting on the site
Keep messages on the platform until you trust the person. You don't need to share your phone number or email to get to know someone.
2. Make the first meeting a coffee
No massage on the first meeting. Meet in a public place, say hello, and see whether the conversation feels easy. Tell a friend where you're going and when you'll be back.
3. Agree on everything before you touch
Talk through the style (Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu and so on), the pressure you like, the areas to work on and the areas to avoid. Do this before every session, not just the first.
4. Use proper draping
A sheet or towel stays over the body, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Underwear stays on. Give your partner privacy to get on and off the table.
5. “Stop” always means stop
Either person can ask for softer pressure, a different area or an end to the session at any time, with no explanation needed.
6. Keep it platonic and free
A swap is an hour for an hour. No money, tips or gifts, and no sexual requests. If anyone asks for either, end the conversation and report them.
7. Know what a swap isn't
Members are amateurs, not Registered Massage Therapists. If you have pain, an injury or a medical condition, book a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) instead.
8. Trust your instincts
If something feels off at any point, leave and report it. Good partners will understand.
